THE LAST HIMALAYAN KINGDOM

THE LAST HIMALAYAN
KINGDOM

28 NOVEMBER - 4 DECEMBER 2026

There are places on earth

that have not forgotten what they are.

Bhutan is one of them

A NOTE FROM ESTEFA

WHERE THE WORLD STILL HOLDS ITS BREATH

Tucked away in the eastern Himalayas, Bhutan has preserved something most destinations have long since lost - a quality of energy, stillness and living sacred.

The mountains here are not just mountains.

The monasteries are not just stone. The air itself feels like it remembers.

This retreat is not about escaping your life. It is about stepping more fully into the deepest version of it. Through yoga, meditation, breath work, sound and the quiet power of this extraordinary land, we will create space for something that cannot easily be named. Only felt.

I have spent years searching for places that carry their own energy and story.

Every ANIMA retreat is chosen with care, intuition and an unwavering standard.

Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary feels like the most sacred selection yet.

With love and intention,

Estefa

Land of the Thunder Dragon

There are places we visit, and there are places that change us.

Nestled deep within the Himalayas, Bhutan remains one of the most extraordinary destinations on Earth.

Known as the Last Himalayan Kingdom, it is a country where ancient traditions are still alive, where happiness is valued above economic growth, and where spirituality is woven into everyday life.

For six unforgettable nights, we will immerse ourselves in a culture unlike any other, exploring sacred monasteries, breathtaking mountain landscapes, centuries-old traditions, and a way of life that invites us to slow down and reconnect with what truly matters.

Our home will be Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary, an award-winning wellness retreat dedicated to healing, restoration and authentic Bhutanese hospitality.

Through yoga, breathwork, sound healing, wellness treatments, cultural immersion and meaningful connection, this retreat is designed to nourish the body, calm the mind and awaken the spirit.

Join me for what promises to be a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.

TIGER's NEST

A half-day ascent to Paro Taktsang, the monastery that seems to float between cliff, forest and sky.

The Tiger’s Nest excursion (Paro Taktsang) is an iconic 6.5 km round-trip trek to a 17th-century cliff-face monastery.

The most sacred Buddhist site in Bhutan, the mountain side location is said to be where Padmasambhava (an 8th-century Indian guru) meditated when he brought Buddhism to Bhutan.

(includes packed breakfast and a licensed guide)

PUNAKHA VALLEY

A full-day journey to Bhutan’s ancient capital where a golden fortress rises from the confluence of two glacial rivers.

Punakha Valley excursion immerses you in the subtropical heart of Bhutan, starting with a scenic drive from Thimphu to Punakha, crossing the Dochula Pass, and culminates in visits to breathtaking historical fortresses, hanging suspension bridges, and vibrant rural farming villages.

(includes packed lunch and a licensed guide)
